Aquiles or estupor

(Albert Mestres)

Premiered at Mercat de les Flors (Sala Maria Aurèlia Capmany), Festival Grec 2015

What if Achilles and Helen, the daughter of Zeus abducted by Paris, had secretly met during the Trojan War and fallen hopelessly in love? A series of scenes, tragic and comic, in verse and in prose, transport us to one of the great moments in classical mythology. In the production, dance, live music and dramatic performances are interwoven to create a most unconventional narrative combininig the talent of Albert Mestres and the dancers of IT Dansa with the skills of the Norwegian choreographer Ina Christell Johannessen and the Norwegian composer Knut Vaage.
